This may be especially relevant if:
you're a creator or aspiring creator
you've been posting consistently but aren't seeing growth
you've ever wondered "who am I even making this for?"
Est. read time: 1 minute 5 seconds
If you've been posting consistently but growth has flatlined, this might be why:
You don’t know who you're creating for.
You’re probably speaking to another version of you
The most magnetic creators are speaking to one person - someone who they used to be before they figured something out.
Your younger self was Googling questions late at night that you now know the answers to. That gap is your content!
Intense specificity, such as understanding your younger self, is incredibly authetnic.
You know that person's fears, dreams, and desires because they were once yours. This is your opportunity to truly resonate and inspire.
3 questions worth answering
Figure out who “they” are - your ideal view profile:
→ What are their deepest insecurities that are holding them back the most?
→ What are their dreams and how can you help them achieve that?
→ What are their emotional triggers that make them stop and react?
When you’re speaking to someone that you can picture perfectly in your mind, your audience can feel it: "this was made for me."
Iteration is how you find creator-audience fit
You might not fully know who this ideal viewer is on day one. The audience may reveal themselves over time - through the content that they engage with, but also what YOU feel proud of putting out there.
Virality is a byproduct of consistency and iteration.
And if you can pinpoint that specific viewer, jf you speak to someone so they feel seen, they'll share it, because sharing is just saying "this is about you too."
